Saint Paul Catholic School was founded in 1925 as a parish school under the auspices of the Sisters of Saint Dominic from Blauvelt, New York.  In 2006, Saint Paul Catholic Church was selected by Pope Benedict XVI as the first Minor Basilica to be named in the United States During His Papacy.  Saint Paul is now one of only two residences designated to receive the Pope during his next visit to the State of Florida. The school enjoys solid spiritual guidance from the parish priests and gratefully receives contributions and donations from parishioners.

Over the years, the excellence of the curriculum has become well recognized throughout the Daytona Beach area.  Saint Paul students are high achievers who have excelled in academic competitions including the Tomoka Regional Science Fair, the Florida State Science and Engineering Fair, National Geographic Geography Bee, Volusia County Spelling Bee, and the Florida State Social Studies Fair.  Each year outstanding students are selected for the Duke University Talent Identification Program.
